This kit was purchased from the grandson of the person who originally owned this
Both bass drums are virgin -- the original tom floor stand was long gone, but we are offering the kit with the alternative floor stand, as pictured
There are no modifications or extra holes anywhere, and yes the bass drum is the real deal 14x18" and not a converted floor tom
We glued an area on the 18" that had gotten wet. The shell is solid and the wood is not weakened. You can further clean it up if you'd like and respray it gray, should you choose.
The badge on the 18" was missing -- we added an original bass drum badge. The grommet is not original
There are some other unoriginal hoops and tension rods around the kit as well as the floor tom legs.
In general, the Satin Flame is in good shape. There are some scuffs, scratches, and a few spider cracks, but I'd say its in above average condition, comparatively
All drums take modern Remo heads and don't require classic fits, which is a plus.
